Benjella is a small cool climate vineyard nestled in the picturesque Kiewa Valley, located 22kms from Mt Beauty in North East Victoria.
Producing modest quantities of elegant handcrafted wines, we aim to capture the specific characteristics of this unique north facing site.
With cool climate vineyards, the fact that the temperatures drop off so quickly towards harvest, make the wines taste different. Lower temperatures preserve the acidity (that spritzy taste you experience on the sides of your tongue) and the fruit flavours will lean towards more subtle fruits and the accompanying flavours will be spicy, floral or herbaceous.
LOCATION
As mentioned above, we’re 22kms from Mt Beauty in North East Victoria. Travel down the Kiewa Valley Highway and turn down Hobbs Lane where you see the Cellar Door sign being displayed.
